Wild Wild West of Tassie, Days 11-12

We actually had spent 2 days in Strahan in Western Tasmania (the first one was well covered in the Disneyland post), so on the second day, we finally slept late (till 11 or so), as we didn’t have to clear the camping site by 10AM as usual. Continue Reading…

Disneyland – Western Tasmania Style – Day 10

Well, as Yifat promised in the previous post – the second half of our 10th day in Tassie, deserves a separate post.
The main reason is actually the fun we had and the excitement that we wanted to share, this time, accompanied with lots of Videos and not “just” the Pictures… Continue Reading…

Cradle Mountain National Park, Tasmania – Day 9

Our 9th day in Tassie actually begins on the previous night. As we arrived to our camp site we found out that we are located right at the entrance to the Cradle Mountain National Park itself, which means that nature and its wildlife is right outside our Campervan’s door (no kidding, one Wallaby actually ate his dinner right outside of our Campervan). Continue Reading…

Well, we still owe you some stories from our last 3 days in Tassie, so here it goes (as usual, every day will be accompanied with its own set of pictures). Ready? Continue Reading…

Tasmania’s East Coast, Days 3-5

Hi All,
Sorry for being silent for so long, but the Internet is not the strongest feature in Tasmania… Nature and Animals on the other hand – definitely are !!! I’ll try to provide a short description of our last few days here in Tassie, which is quite challenging as we’d managed to do quite a lot of things here… Continue Reading…

Hobart, Tasmania

Greetings from Tasmania!
Yesterday, Jan 18th 2010, we have arrived to Hobart, Tasmania after a short 1 hour flight from Melbourne.
Since it was a long morning we obviously were in need for a short sleep so we took a small “Shnatz”. Continue Reading…

Fremantle, Rottnest Island and Quokkas!!!

Hi All,
Today’s post will include a couple of the last days we’d spent in Western Australia (Fremantle & Rottnest Island), as we’d moved along to Hobart, Tasmania, via a single night in Melbourne (to where we’ll come back of course for some thorough exploration of the South Eastern side of Australia). Of course, pictures and animals (mainly Quokkas this time) are at the bottom of the post, as usual. Continue Reading…

Dolphins Discovery at Bunbury

So… its been a while since our last post… that is because we were mainly on the beach – relaxing.

On Wednsday (The 13 of Jan 10′) We drove from Dunsborough to see the old jetty in Busselton but apparently it was closed for reconstruction so we headed straight towards Bunbury. Continue Reading…

Cape to Cape on the West Coastal Line

Today (Jan 12th 2010) we did the 138KM Cape to Cape trail… But no worries (as the Australians are used to say), we didn’t do it by foot but by a beautiful drive with several stops along the way with small walking trails, observation spots etc… Continue Reading…

The Blowholes, Tree Top Walk, Gloucester Tree, Bicentennial Tree and everything inbetween in WA

Well, after the previous post with all the animals, it’s kinda difficult to come up with something better, so this one is mainly dedicated to some breathtaking scenery, rather than animals. We’re continuing our journey through WA (Western Australia) and after Perth we’ve got to Albany, which is (I think) the utmost Southern point in WA (after almost 5 hour drive from Perth area). Continue Reading…
